JUSTIN FULKERSON

Author of 'Hallowed Ground' and the 'An Hour for Magic' trilogy, Justin Fulkerson’s literary tastes turned from science fiction (Isaac Asimov) to horror (Stephen King, of course) at the innocent age of twelve years old. His outlook on life was forever changed by the experience, his mind suffered the consequences. The creatures and scenarios running through his imagination forced him to begin his first novel, 'Text of the Unforgiven', while still in high school. It called to him over the years, but each time he turned away, knowing his imagination wasn't ready, waiting until the time was right to finish the journey. In 2004, Justin decided to begin writing once again. The stories grew.  He attempted for a few years to get them out into the world of publishing. He was wrong to do so. The world was not ready.

He would have to wait until he made a name for himself as an author before publishing such a monstrosities. Such journeys would require devotion from the reader. He placed them on the shelf to gather dust until that time came.
 

So, the years passed and Justin decided to market his shorter stories upon Amazon. His most successful stories sold well. ‘Unfinished Business’ took readers into the path of an elderly serial killer obsessed with the one victim that got away. ‘Koyaanisqatsi’ took them into an alternate timeline where a nobody named Lee Harvey Oswald tries to survive after nuclear Armageddon in 1962. He joins forces with Charles Manson and Jim Morrison to fulfill an ancient Indian prophesy and prevent extra-terrestrials from overrunning the planet. These are just a few examples of his twisted imagination.

Justin was born in Lubbock, Texas on March 5, 1976. He began to write while in high school, after discovering a love for literature at a young age. After years of working for others, he finally decided to dedicate time to the craft that he loves. He has been working for a big box retailer for the last twenty-one years while focusing on his writing in his spare time. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Mary Ellen, for eighteen years and they have two crazy children. A native Texan, he wants to prove to the world that intelligent people do reside there.
